Is Mr. Chaffee still on the fence or has he made up his mind?

Are we calling or emailing?

1. I am sending Sen. Chafee 2 email letters daily --
-- up to Tuesday's vote.

His webform for email is:

http://chafee.senate.gov/webform.htm

Right now the vote looks like 10-8 for Bolton. If Chafee changes his vote, it's 9-9 and the vote is frozen.

Yes, please help us put some pressure on Chafee -- polite but firm -- and tell about a hundred friends, too!

dead.

Not a thing we can do. It is going to be a party line vote. We've all already been told.

Thanks for caring. Now go F yourself. That's all you have left.

5. Thanks all
I'm glad there's still a shot, regardless of how small.

Anyone other than Chaffee we should reach out to?

6. Hagel or Lugar
would be good. They really have nothing to lose by opposing Bolton, they're in safe seats.

7. Are you on the Senate Committee?
No? Then no. Everyone has been confirmed so far. Negroponte has been confirmed before by this Senate(Iraq Ambassador, vote of 95-3...you heard me), and is on his way to being confirmed again. Rice was confirmed. Gonzales was confirmed. Bolton will be confirmed.

You can write all the angry letters you want(they can keep it a free country that way, they're not stupid), just be aware that it's over. They're not going to start saying no to Bolton.

8. Way I see it

Is although I don't want to see milk mustache man representing the US it might be better getting him out of the federal government where he can dictate US policy and cause more damage.
Representing the US at the UN is more representing bush and doesn't really carry that much power. Any UN rep is only going to vote the way chimp tells him to.
It's not like the UN doesn't already know that bush and his whores hate the UN. Let junior appoint reps who make him look like the dumbshit he is, it's his own choice.

10. Here's more that you can do
Don't listen to the nay-sayers, it's not over till it's over and there is always hope, especially in this case where more information is being uncovered day by day.

Check this post that contains an update and list of senators to contact
