Rush's rant: Carters nobel prize is a fraud, "How can he sleep at night?"
I was listening to a replay of Rush Limbaugh's Friday show, and he went on a rant against Fomer President Carter.

He said the only reason Carter got the nobel prize was because he went around the world smearing Bush and the leftists loved him for it. He then said Carter nowadays doesn't amount to nothing and is just looking for publicity whenever he speaks out.

He continued to say Carter should be looked upon like France and other countries that don't agree with Bush and that are anti-American.

He even said Carter was "excrement".

Rush seemed livid about Carter, this was like a 5 minute rant.

Damn, I was just disgusted listening as it went on and on.

Carter and any Democrat are scum. I've heard these lies before. My comment to posters on another board was, "Oh yeah, I'm sure that working on the Habitat for Humanity houses was just for publicity. And how many of those houses have YOU worked on?"

37. I'm surprised you've not heard the "Carter is scum" line before
the freeper I know HATES Carter more than any other dem except Clinton. I never understood the hatred of Carter. When I asked her (it was the LAST time we went to lunch together) she just repeated "Carter is scum" at the top of her lungs. She said he was responsible for the taking of the hostages in Iraq and said she'd send me proof. She never did.

55. Pronouncing "nuclear"
I am sorry to say that it is one of those perverse ironies that Jimmy Carter, one of our most decent presidents ever, and the Chimp have one thing in common: both have trouble with the word "nuclear".

I refuse to listen to Chimp gibberish, but apparently he says "nuck-yuhlar".

Carter always said "new-key-er" (dropping the 'l'), except on occasions when you could tell he was carefully pronouncing it to get it right.

But the right keeps beating on Carter because he was a really decent man and has continued to demonstrate that. The right, consisting of carbuncles on the ass of humanity like Rush Limbaugh and his idiot brother, want to keep hatred stirred up.

Although Mr Carter has not openly criticised President George W Bush's policy on Iraq, Friday's award "should be interpreted as a criticism of the line that the current administration has taken," said Committee chairman Gunnar Berge.

"It's a kick in the leg to all that follow the same line as the United States," Mr Berge said.

51. I read on another thread if fraud is proved
but that there is no ties to Bush, he could not be impeached, but he would have to resign. I think that they will uncover fraud but my best guess is that the perpetrator will be unknown. I know that the machines here in Maryland defaulted to Bush, but who was responsible.
Baltimore City and the entire state of Maryland is overwhelmingly democratic. Although the governor is republican, the mayor of Baltimore is a democrat and the State House is overwhelmingly democratic so how did we have rigged machines defaulting to Bush in
Baltimore, MD. The registered democrats outnumber the registered republicans by almost 2 to 1 here in Maryland.

I heard part of that show when he was dogging Carter. I don't normally listen to him but I thought it would be good to listen to the other side every now and then. And Frankly he is really preaching to the far right. It really can't be doing much good for the Republicans. On that same show some lady called in to ask advice on how to handle her friends fighting for equal pay with men. He told her that the 'libs' were just using the issue to get everyone worked up. He told her to tell her lady friends that the problem isn't that women make too little, the problem is that the men should make more money so that they could afford to stay home or go to the country club.

It just seemed like it should have turned off so many women. What is this guy's base anyway?

Carter: Rich States 'Don't Give a Damn' About Poor

ATLANTA (Reuters) - Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter on Thursday harshly criticized his own country and other wealthy states for being stingy with foreign aid and said in rich countries "We really don't give a damn."
<snip>

"Unfortunately, in the rich countries like ours, we really don't give a damn," said Carter, who was president from 1977 to 1981 and who won a Nobel Peace Prize in 2002.

He especially criticized the United States for failing to follow other Western nations which are increasing spending.

Although America tops the foreign aid donor list in dollar terms, it falls behind the Netherlands, Canada and many other smaller, less affluent nations when contributions are measured on a per capita basis.

U.S. foreign aid is approximately 0.18 percent of gross national product, the lowest of any G-7 nation and far below a 0.7 percent United Nations target that 22 of the world's developed nations have agreed to meet by 2015.

http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=topNews&storyID=8186378

The right wingers over at another board (religious) are throwing a very un-Christian fit about it. Calling President Carter all kinds of names.

39. I can tell you why they hate Carter so much, and it is because Carter . .
will say every time he is on TV that he is tired of Reagan getting credit for ending the Cold War because it was his work that ended the Cold War as well as the peace treaty in the middle east. These accomplishments are what got him the Nobel Peace Prize. Don't you remember how bad they were bashing Carter for even getting one? Well this is why.

President Carter did not only deal with the terrorists kidnappers in Iran, who were "coincidentally" released on the day Reagan was sworn into office, but a lot of his accomplishments were stolen by the Reagan Administration.

Whatever they want to believe. Just nod your head and look at them like they are stupid. This gets to them more than anything.

he 're-framed' Bush's trip to the Vatican. The whole point of keeping Carter away was so that the light within Carter would not make Bush (Cardinal Cesspuglio)look bad. Bush tried everything.. making out with Laura, taking advice from people other than god (his father and clinton) on the plane over. Nothing worked!

Carter must pay for his obvious religious devotion & his practice of walking the walk.

the other day, he was defending Tom Delay and he seemed like he was about to come unglued (the desperation in his voice actually was what made me pause on the channel). He was yelling, screaming even, and talking really fast about Harry Reid and the liberal media blah blah blah. His regular crap, but just his manner of speaking seemed like he was losing it. Obviously I am not a regular listener, but I don't ever remember hearing panic in his voice the way I did that day. It ain't easy being a college drop-out disc jockey I guess.
