Freepers pounding the war drum for Iran.

How much fuckin' blood must be spilled before these soul sucking assholes are satisfied. Whenever I think of these people, the first image that pops into my head is that of German citizens after World War II having to file past all the corpses and witness the atrocities that they allowed to happen.

5. well... that USED to be true i.e. Saddam didn't like Iran
now it's "not so much" as the Shia move into power in Iraq and many of their leaders stayed in Iran to escape Saddam

4. This is a very sophisticated layout ...
The banner artwork seems well thought out and 'professional' ....

I believe DoctorZin is a REAL propagandist who is planting the seeds of intent into the conservative population at FR as a whole ...

Just throw it out there, and see what sticks ....

Something nefarious and organized is at work here ....

12. Bet you're right.
I thought it was a CNN banner that they had lifted at first. DoctorZin is probably has a desk at the Defense Intelligence Agency in the Pentagon.

6. They're excited for war because they aren't going.
It seems that people in my age group, early thirties and under, have had war so santitzed for us. The first Gulf War was reported to us as if no one was hurt. "Oh, we bombed at night and no one dies." Sure. Right. Thousands of people were killed by our bombs, but it was sanitised. They believe that only the "bad people" get killed and everyone else is just fine. These people play X-box war games and think, everything is fine. We run everything like a corporation. We set goals, like completling a war in a succint amoiunt of time with little reources, and when we meet our golas, we report that everything went as planned. In reality, we never meet any such arbiturary goal and instead lie to the American people. Only those who have actually fought in a war actually understand what is going on. Half of thse feel thet war is somehow a right of passage or they want others to fight to justify what they did. The other half realize that, to quote another DUer here, you can win a war just as easily as you can win an earthquake." There are no winners in war, just losers and dead people.

Is war sometimes justified? yes. Is it now? Absolutely not.

This is just plain sick. We must need to lengthen an oil pipeline through Iran. That's why we're probably cinsidering it. If past events have proven anything, it's proven * could care less about democracy and freedom and more about domination nd lining his pockets and the pockets of his family and friends.

Ok, I feel much better now. Rant button is officially turned off.

7. Many consider it "tacky" to show pics of Iraqi war dead
to Bush supporters.

My question is why? Do we have to wait until we defeat them, then march them past the dead bodies then?

9. Iran
Quote from website linked in original post: "despite the pleas, there will be NO peaceful transition of power in Iran, nor will it reform from within.
Islamism is incapable of self-reform. As is any government that takes its path.
A bloody coupe-de-etats is on the way, and the only way."
The author is not very optimistic. I wonder if he would prescribe the same course of events should we wish to rid ourselves of our own 'mullahs.'

10. Does this mean the freeps are turning Muslim?

They're ALL Iranian's, huh? :eyes: Yeah, and I'm a little tea-pot.

The Iraqi's might hate Iranian's, but they'd join forces in a heartbeat to kick the United State's ass out of the region. Freepers are clueless. They just can't get it into their pea sized brains that they DON'T WANT to be like us. They can't fathom any country refusing to lose it's soul to giant corporations, greed and corruption.

The freeps are in a class of their own, somewhere between single celled organisms and plant life.

16. I guess they
must not be paying any attention to Pat Robertson. I may disagree with him on everything but at least he knows his middle east history and why they're fighting us. It's not for our freedoms but simply because, why? They don't want us there! Doy. I can't wait till Mr. Malloy's freeper night. I hope some of them do call in and get their asses whooped.

11. They're morally bankrupt.
They lack the qualities that make a civilized human being - true empathy and common sense. Couple that with the fact that they are grossly uninformed and ignorant of history, they make the dangerous anti-thinkers that are crucial for enabling fascists.

I still remember once a freeper called in to Malloy's show and said Germany attacked Pearl Harbor. I about fell out of my chair!

18. I heard someone argue that the Civil War was just about slavery
In supporting their idea that war is necessary for reasons other than defense and implying that we'd still have slavery in the US otherwise. I wasn't really that surprised, because that's a common misconception, but all I could stammer was, "dude, history is your friend."

Never underestimate the power of an effective wedge issue.

- Leadership is anti-American

15. Unfortunately,
judging from their recent actions, they'd take photos of the corpses with their digital cameras, post them on the internet, and write hilarious little captions underneath. And that's just the highly trained men and women of the US army.
