What percentage of U.S. citizens are Catholic?
With the 24/7 coverage of the pope it must be 75%-90%, right? Are Catholics a MAJORITY religion in this country or not? Just asking.

2. You have to remember that the Vatican is a
separate country, so essentially this is choosing a new head of state. Additionally, even non-Catholics appear to be interested in the process of selection.

5. Catholicism is the single largest Christian denomination in the US...
more Americans are Catholic than anything else. Not a majority (only about 27%), but still a plurality.
