Some campaign advice that could be learned from Karl Rove
I saw Frontline's piece on him titled "The Architect" and no matter what your opinion was at the end of the piece I felt that I learned a few important points from Mr. Rove's stratedgy to win campaigns (all except pulling out the gay card).

1. If it can't be measured then its not worth managing
2. Stay on the Attack ATTACK ATTACK
3. Go after your oponnent's strength
4. Use "anger points" to energize your base

And of course we all know that Karl likes to use the gay card quite frequently, but thats not us.

Young Republicans idolize Rove and there is little doubt that there will be little Rove copy-cats developing themselves over the next few years.

We should find a way to counter their tactics, or use them against them in their own game. Otherwise we're finished.

Its a very informative program that can be watched online for free.

1. I have been saying this for years,
its all about pressure points, we(the democrats) have the advantage all we have to do is push. Its all about the flour every American who works for 40 hours a week for 40 years, should be able to retire out of poverty, just like Roosevelt said.

think about it its not that hard to prove this point this is what make America greater if you try, you wont end up in poverty. whats wrong with this. I would personally pay more in taxes to insure that their is a floor that no America falls under then to privatize SS and play the casino like all other Wall street Americans. _

2. I agree with you. There is another thing to learn from him and the Pubs.
Use marketing tactics to sell your candidate!

Shrub was packaged like a new kitchen gadget that lots of people believed they just had to have!

I think the Dems need to hire a few marketing experts from the big advertising firms to put together a marketing plan. Don't tell me it's unethical, I don't care! It works!!!

My favorite commercials over the years have been the beer ads. They're interesting, funny, and people watch them. I still remember the "Alex, you better be dringing your water!" ad!!!!

What do you think?

6. 3 & 4 are worth remembering!
Going after your opponent's strength is genius, really. He may be evil, but he's GOOD! I think we forgot that.

We don't have anybody that good and if we did, we wouldn't listen.

Democrats are independent thinkers and that works against us strategically sometimes.

7. The only briliant thing Rove did, strategy-wise, was 9/11
once 9/11 happened, the Bush campaign didn't really have to do anything other than constant speeches and fearmongering.
