WTF- ABC news- Newsspeak Headline includes WP claim in the story
Officials Say Bush Uranium Claim Accurate
Bush Administration Says President's Claim That Iraq Sought Uranium From Africa Is Accurate

http://abcnews.go.com/wire/World/ap20030713_406.html

<Snip>
The Bush administration said Sunday the president's statement in the State of the Union address about Iraq's seeking uranium was accurate and is supported by other British and U.S. information.

<Snip>
U.S. intelligence agencies had raised questions previously about assertions of such activity by the Iraqi president. Rice said CIA Director George Tenet had removed from a Bush speech in Cincinnati three months earlier a more specific reference to Iraqi efforts to buy uranium for nuclear weapons. Underlying documents to support the British contention proved to have been forged.

1. That's the way they work--cover a lie with another lie
It's working well for them so far . . .

2. That's OK
Let them continue to stretch the lie. It will only bite them in the ass that much harder.

3. Didn't Admin. officials just say those words should not have been included
Why not include them if they are accurate?

4. Why have Tenet apologize if the claim is accurate.
Basically, they made a headline of Condi's lie without saying she's lying. You have to read further to figure that out.

Just weird.

5. Time for them to provide the "other" evidence or at least the
testimony of the person who gathered the evidence that refutes Wilson's claim that there was no sale, or attempted sale of yellow cake to Iraq.
