I couldn't keep count but she must have said at least 10 times that the uranium purchase reports were based on British intelligence.

As usual, it someone else's fault....no accountability with these frauds. I suppose it was the British that suggested the "cabal" write the "Project for a New American Century", too.

The motive for our invasion of Iraq was clearly out there. WMD was simply cover to justify the whole putrid mess. It was never about WMD (otherwise we would never have invaded)...it was always about:

(1) Controling the oil
(2) Relocation of strategic airbases since we were getting evicted from Saudi Arabia.
(3) Contracts for Republican benefactors (Bechtal, Haliburton)
(4) Political opportunism...a chance to make Bush look like a "war hero".
(5) 2002 Midterms. Republicans needed an issue to beat the Democrats with.
(6) Increase Defense spending/squeeze out domestic spending.
(7) Maybe, most importantly, a diversion from 9/11 investigation.

Now that we know that all the evidence was a complete fabrication to justify this ill conceived US military action, my question is who did the fabrication? Falsified documentation doesn't come into existance "by accident"...it was by design. Who designed it? I think we know the answers, we just need proof.
