Opinions on this America First Party principle? |
|
I don't know much about this party. At first glance it looks like I disagree with 90% of what they stand for.
But here is one of their principles:
"Reform the lobbying system so that the only organizations permitted to lobby are those organizations whose money is acquired strictly from voter donations. Reasonable individual voter donation amount limits must be established."
Do you think this is a good idea or a bad idea? Why? What would be the potential positive or negative effects if this principle were enacted into law?
Thanks.

and, if adopted, it WOULD take the corporatists out of the picture until they can find a loophole (and they will, I assure you)...bad for the GOP, good for the USA...
On the BAD side, it would also take a lot of non-profit NGOs out of the picture as well...bad for DEMS, maybe STILL good for the USA!!!

2. Taking the corporatists out . . . |
|
. . . that's what I first thought about and I like the idea of at least limiting corporate lobbying.
I don't understand how it might hurt non-profits. But then, there is a lot I don't understand. :)
