Did anybody see the Daily Show in the CA recall last night? |
|
The piece with Darrell Issa was priceless. They replayed a clip from the press conference in which he was bemoaning the courts stepping in and preventing democratic process.
John Stewart's comment was along the lines of: "Let's see. Darrell Issa found an obscure clause in the CA Constitution from over 130 years ago, shelled out over $2 million of his own money to pay for people to collect petition signatures, and now HE is saying that the courts are preventing democratic processes? "Do they honestly think we're that retarted!?!?"
It was truly a priceless moment of political satire. Thank God for the Daily Show -- the one bastion of truly objective news! ;-)
