I did so because I was drafted or otherwise I probably never would have gone however I did go and I fought. I had enemy bullets fired at me and I fired bullets back at the enemy. I did this for the US constitution and the Secular nation I live in. I did not do this for the bible or so that these could be placed in every school in America.

1. Thou shalt have no other gods before me

2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain: for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

4. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

5. Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

None of these are fitting for a Secular Nation to post as policy or even recommended behavior. The first says we can not be secular
The second says we must hate even the innocent children for four generations down the road if the father doesn't love this particulat God. It also suggests that Jealousy is something to be emulated.
Third speaks for itself
Fourth. Now this one basically says slavery is accepted by God so must be okay.
Fifth is borderline. Children should honor their parents if their parents are honorable people but not all parents are honorable.
I did not fight and kill people so our children could be brainwashed with this garbage. I fought for a much higher reason, That of a Great and SECULAR nation. I did not fight for the bible I fought for the Constitution and will do so again but the enemy has changed. It is no longer outside our borders. It is an enemy from within. It is an enemy that is trying daily to change our constitution into the bible and I will continue to fight for the country I once fought for..If you wish to destroy my country with religious dogma be prepared to fight for I am..

Our oath of enlistment said nothing about supporting and defending the Bible. But it did state that we were sworn to defend it against all enemies foreign AND DOMESTIC. I sincerely believe that conservatives and religious zealots are domestic enemies of the Constitution. And it is incredibly sad that they would be fighting to curtail their own freedoms if they successfully reach their goal. Yeah, I think they'll have a fight on their hands. Conservatives lost the first civil war, I'm sure they'll lose the next one.

12. Let's vote on the bible

Instead of having our society continuously having to fight over portions of the bible, let's put the bible to a vote. If the bible wins, it becomes our total law. We can stone homosexuals and cheating wives. We can own slaves as long as they are bought from a neighboring country. Men can have multiple wives, (as if one can't be enough of a handful).
Our society does not need to have bits and pieces of the bible being trotted out to base our laws on. Let's go for the whole thing, all at once, and get the BS over with.
