It takes 21 days for little chicks to hatch...
in early spring, the hen sits on the nest. Nothing happens. The next day, the same thing. Nothing. For 20 days, she just sits there. Then there is a little peck on the shell of one of the eggs. A little chick's head comes out of the shell. What does this have to do with politics?

There are times when nothing seems to be happening but you know something is about to happen. The politicians have been sitting on the eggs. Something dramatic is about to happen. It's just a matter of time until the chickens come home to roost. And they know it...

1. I hope you are right Kentuck.
I'm really getting very hopeless feelings these days, like wondering just how bad things will have to get, or when will we hit rock bottom.

I don't think I have ever felt hopeless in my life until now.

2. That's the most optimistic post I seen here in awhile.
Personally I'd love to see the very foundation of the gop crumble.

3. It's the sweetest sound when they are all hatched and peeping
And I hope we hear the sound soon.

Life seems on edge, and it's hard to wade through it all, deal with the struggles in our own lives and envision things getting better. we've been watching them just get worse day after day.

These times are good for examining what brought us here. And working in our own lives to get us to a better place.

Thanks for the metaphor, kentuck

7. Thanks for the post
Things change all the time, whether noticed or not. Reading history books about the Mr.bush and his evil minions years in about 50 yrs will be very interesting. Eventually they will get their comeupance.

8. When I despair,
I remember that all through history, the way of truth and love has always won. There have been murderers and tyrants, and for a time they can seem invincible. But in the end they always fall. Think of that always........ Gandhi

After the 2004 election, I put that quote where I can see it. And whenever I feel bad, I pull it out and reread it and meditate on it. It gives me great strength. I hope it helps.
