Scarborough takes a page from Delay's playbook
He blames Delay's problems on the Main Stream Media but he also refrained from calling it the "liberal" MSM...I guess he deserves some credit for that but how does he justify that MSNBC is not main stream media?

Another page from Delay's book is blame others. Joe says everyone on both sides of the aisle take lobbyist paid trips and also have family members on payroll. I never understood why blaming others of the same moral/ethical lapses makes a person less guilty. Maybe there are more than the proverbial "one bad apple" but it only takes one to make the whole barrel rot. Maybe Joe is right but I don't recall any one else in congress who were admonished three times by the ethics committee. I also believe that a leadership position like majority leader( the biggest apple) should be beyond reproach.

His column; http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6330851/
did contain one line that I believe is the real underlying problem with Delay's downfall. It seems he's shooting himself in the foot every time he opens his mouth.

The Majority Leader is helping fan the flames by holding up rifles at NRA rallies while asking for more bullets.

One bullet for the Schiavo case another bullet for threatening judges then apologizing, on and on it goes...I think Delay has unlimited ammo and every time he fires, it's a headline. He reminds me of the pictures of Saddam hoisting a rifle into the air then firing it. The only difference is that Delay's gun is pointed down and the more he shoots the more he limps and when he goes down he will have to be wheeled off the stage.

1. It's encouraging to me
that the 'everybody does it' defense is the best excuse DeLay's fans can come up with. They are NOT disputing he is corrupt, they are NOT disputing that he is in bed with lobbyists, they are NOT disputing that he violated the House rules of ethics.

DeLay is going down and like I said a few months ago, it's been fun to watch this bastard fry.
