What Sen. Frist did yesterday would be considered profane in |
|
my church, and possibly the same for any honestly Conservative religious person.

1. Call his office and tell him |
|
He needs to hear that most Christians, most religious people are appalled by his actions.

Regardless of what religion you subscribe to.
More specifically, it is a perversion of everything Jesus stood for. I don't know Him, but methinks He would want people to fucking think for themselves and stand up for what they believe, and if that means fillibustering the nominations of the maniacs * is trying to appoint, well then, so be it.
Billy boy, get the fuck over it.

6. That's the honest truth. There were certain songs that could not be |
|
sung in church. There was no socializing in the sanctuary, like you see these days. I used to coordinate Lectors, my sister has managed church music all of her life. I don't think such an event could happen in our church.
That isn't to say I haven't seen some priests do some pretty bathetic liturgy, but political ACTIVISM, even for things like the environment, was not allowed into the church itself, because the church itself is supposed to be a holy place, where such things are ir-relevant to the task at hand, one's relationship with one's Maker.
