Dem Club in Freeperville needs a Logo - so we're having a contest |
|
Please help us out. We tried to have this contest locally and the schools wouldn't let us approach their students because we're "partisan". So I thought someone here at DU might give it a shot.
Contest for Original Logo Artwork - Local Democratic Club
Deadline: Entries must be received by May 31, 2005, either by snail mail or email.
Prize: $100.00 Requirement: Red white & blue, modern, eye-catching, and best represents The Democratic Club of the Conejo Valley (DCCV). Needs to reflect Democratic Values. (duh)
Logo Applications: website, stationary, bumper stickers, banners, pins, newsletter, tshirts
Scale: lapel pin to 10-foot banner
Visit our website www.conejodemocrats.com to learn more about us, or send an email to: administrative_vicepresident@conejodemocrats.com. The top three entries will be chosen by a panel of judges. The winning entries will be presented to the general DCCV membership on June 8th and voted on at that meeting. No original artwork can be returned. All rights to the winning logo become the property of the Democratic Club of the Conejo Valley.

. What State is it? BTW, no where on the url link you gave us is there any reference to a State. That's my first suggestion. To overcome the assumption of many people as they write, they forget who their audience is and fail to make conclusions. Here, the State is missing. Granted, only in-staters would be the ppl that you seek; however, even they don't know which State you represent or this website represents.

edited to add: Ooops, on the "about" webpage of this url, the word "California" is mentioned.
Hey, welcome to DU, Iwin, and please don't take what I've said personally. No intent to do so. :hi:

4. Actually, I appreciate the comments |
|
We're just starting to build the website & should really list what communities we serve in Southern California. It sometimes takes a pair of outside eyes to point out the obvious, so again, thanks.

6. i hope you find something but |
|
you have no idea how sick and tired artists get of being asked to give their work away. and especially in this form, where you have to come up with an idea, and may not even have it accepted. the very least you can do is not do this- "No original artwork can be returned. " that kind of attitude really ads insult to injury.
better to go through your local phone book and find a good dem designer who is willing to do the job cheap.
