Freepers must have a morning "to-do" list. This story is rated 1.58. Funny, they've been hanging on the "we haven't found the weapons, yet" for some time now. You'd think this was an important report for them, no?

2. The wilfully ignorant right wingers should have known the first

few days of the war that it was clear Iraq didn't have any WMD's. What's the purpose of having WMD's if you are not going to use them against an invading army? That should have been a wake up call for them, but instead they chose to believe even a more ridiculous argument that Saddam moved them. Why would, he had moved them? Was he saving them for a rainy day?

I was reading a collection of Mark Twain's writings, that no one would publish at the time, concerning the US invasions of foreign lands. In many ways, it is absolutely no different than today -- greed for riches, lust for power -- although with modern weapons technology, more people can die.

It strikes me as odd that the media refused to carry the op-eds that Twain wrote. I had always assumed that there used to be freedom of the press. My mistake.
