1. Never brought it
Did not want to pay the current price, just what it sold for many years ago.

2. Bush's yacht? Please provide more info on that...
...The presidential yacht the Sequoia I thought was sold to a private investor under Jimmy Carter's term and is used only on special occasions and is rented when needed. Bush has his own yacht?

3. Do you mean...?
...the former Presidential yacht, "Sequoia", that was sold years ago...or this one? (From my "Republican Family Values" file.)

20 November 2004
The U.S. Congress passed a $388 billion package financing government programs ... Republicans agreed to make an across-the-board cut in spending levels. “Republican Family Values” legislators ... made it easier for hospitals to refuse to provide abortions or abortion counseling, ...cut $1 billion from Millennium Challenge Account, (cut) Bush’s program to encourage economic and political reforms..(cut funds for) fight(ing) HIV/AIDS, ....

Oh, yeah. One more thing. The spending bill did make allowance in this time of, (Cough, Bullshit. Cough) ahem… “belt tightening” for - a presidential yacht!

4. Yep, the Sequoia is what I was referring to
So they did make an allowance for it, but it hasn't been bought yet? Is that right?

5. Not sure.
I don't know if the funding was to buy back the old Sequoia (a real old bucket). My impression was that it was for an entirely new boat. Maybe someone else will respond.
