Heard the stupidest thing today
While listening to O'Reilly on my way to lunch today I heard the stupidest comment I've think I've heard yet. My husband says I shouldn't listen to RW Radio but my commute is only twelve minutes so it is only in small doses.

O'Reilly's topic today was about Leadership. A woman called in from Abilene, TX. She wanted to talk about leadership. She went on to say she worked at the jail. Recently a man had been sentenced 60 years for drug possession and another man had been sentenced 10 years for indecency with a minor. She described how Nancy Reagan was such a great leader on drugs abuse that we needed her back now.

I guess she was implying that Nancy could fight sex offenders like she did drug addicts. O'Reilly was actually speechless for a few seconds. He said he didn't think of Nancy as a great leader but a personality who could rally people and he moved to the next caller.

Does anyone want to explain to this woman the reason we can't keep sex offenders in jail is because it is filled with drug offenders? Also Nancy Reagan didn't write any of the laws concerning sentencing. What would she do, tell pedophiles to 'just say no'? Also I don't guess her employment at a jail affects her knowing we have the largest prison system in the world and that's not something to be proud of.

2. I dont know
I remember back when I was about to take my first taste of drugs. I thought of Nancy Reagan, and I said no. Thank goodness for that.

Now if only Nancy had said something about unlisenced monkey knife fights, I'd be doing really good.

4. Plus, the Reagan administrations war on drugs was a complete failure...
That kind of thing happens when you allow the CIA to traffic cocain into poor neigborhoods of California to fund an illegal coup in Nicaragua.

Nancy Reagan is a nice lady, but not a "leader" by any sense of the word.

they stop one nose full, one crack pipe full or one AIDs contaminated needle full of drugs... from hitting the streets and ruining the lives of our children..

and the only arrests are on the competitions cartels guys.

The drug dealers live in these Villas in the boonies..they are obviously working for someone else,... where does all the money really go.... we are talking TRILLIONS and Trillions of dollars in the last 30 years.. there is nothing REALLY big and shiny.. to account for it. Where the hell is it all going..!!

6. I agree with your husband
It is one thing to listen to what the other side has to say, but it is another to listen to the irrational diatribe from the hate mongers. They aren't looking for truth or understanding of issues, they are looking to exploit. Hannity is mean and nasty. If u look close you'll see froth around the edges of his mouth. O'Reilly is just ignorant. Coulter ain't so bad now she is a female.
