Best Burial at Sea Movie
Thanks to Worst User Name Ever for bringing up the subject.

May I nominate - The Enemy Below? A Cat and Mouse game between a U. S. Destroyer and a German Sub. And a very classy burial at sea scene at the end of the movie paying tribute to both Americans and Germans.

8. Standard Operational Bull
Its an old Blake Edwards movie where a movie that tanks gets remade into a porno and it turns out to be a big hit. Anyways, the director tries to steal the movie back and he gets shot by the police in the process. His friends steal the body away and send it out to sea. Kinda sad.

6. Hands DOWN.....The Vikings

A 1958 Epic starring Kirk Douglas.
The final scenes depicting a (romanticized) flaming Viking Funeral will never be topped.

7. Moby Dick
Captain Ahab throws the harpoon into Moby Dick. The line got wrapped around Ahab’s neck and when the Moby Dick dove Ahab went with it. Buried at sea! Karma will get you every time.

9. Was there a burial at sea scene in that WWII movie
The Sullivans .... about the five brothers who were serving togther on a ship and were all lost in a single battle. It was a true story and the incident led to the rule that siblings cannot serve together. Their deaths caused an entire bloodline's future to end.

I remember seeing this as a kid and feeling so badly. I also recall my Dad (a WWII vet) telling me how they were heros.

Thanks for that, Dad (looking up). Your kid needed that.
