1. Simple solution: raise the cap on the payroll tax. Bush don't want it
but that's the easiest fix, IF the problem is as bad as Bush made it out to be....now, if it ain't, then I don't see why that there fillibustor thingy couldn't be applied to the dinking around the Red Ink Republicans and their Credit Card Congress are plannin' on doin' to Social Security !

2. I want the Democrats to oppose making any changes until
they control at least one branch of govt.

If they try to raise the cap now, which is reasonable in itself, the Republicans will use that as an opening to ruin Social Security.

7. I agree
What I would do too is not compromise on anything whether it be caps or whatever dealing with SS. I just don't trust them.

9. The Republicans in power in Washington are radicals
who will ram through a horrible Social Sec. bill no one has time to read, if given any chance.
