Mr. President!
Imagine you are on the WH press corps in attendance at last night's ballroom dance. What question(s) would have stood up and asked Bush?

Here are a few:

1) Mr. President, during the campaign of 2004, Americans were subjected to an unprecedented amount of terror warnings through live TV press conferences from persons within your administration. Since the election in November, these have dropped significantly, if not altogether.

Given that your very own State Department's report shows increased levels of acts of terrorism, was this a campaign ploy to scare the American people?

2) Mr. President, how many MORE reports telling us that there were no WMDs will there be before you apologize for misleading the American people to war?

3) Mr. President, can you explain to the American people how you can carve out money from Social Security for Private Accounts, borrow money with interest that increases the debt even more, while claiming this "strengthens" social security when the numbers just don't add up? Isn't your reform actually a code word for replace?

Your turn!

Here's another, "DO you think that United States Treasuries are a good investment? If so, why do you claim that they are bunch of worthless IOUs when held by the Social Security Office?"

8. Yes! Those room full of filing cabinets must be wasting space!
I almost thought he was going to say "we don't have to pay back the IOU's. That would hurt the economy."

4. Mr. President, when will you remove your head from your arse . . .
. . . and see that you policies and agenda items are just plain wrong for the country, except unless you're very rich and a christian fundamentalist - which excludes a large majority of the country.

5. Mr. Bush
why did your party disenfranchise minorities, commit voter suppression tactics, call a phony homeland security alert in Warren County, Ohio so the votes could be "counted" in secret, make people stand in line for 10 hours in the rain in districts that were unfavorable to you, make sure electronic voting machines supplied no proof of the vote that was made, discard provisional ballots in Democratic districts at will, and in general hold an election with a very suspicious outcome?

Does the republican party intend to make this a theocracy?

Granted that first question was too long. I would be ejected before I was able to utter it.

6. Fox News poll about the press conference
It's Greta's poll:

What is your view of White House press corps Thursday night at the Bush presser?

They were hard on the president

They were easy on the president

Questioning was appropriate

I did not watch

None of the above

15. 'Gov. Bush: Explain your relationship with Jeff Gannon/Dale Guckert.'
Some suggested follow-ups:

"Has he been your guest in the White House?"

"Why was he invited to two White House Christmas Parties?"

"Has he been invited to other White House functions?"

"Has he been your guest at the pig farm in Crawford?"

"When will you resign, you disgraceful excuse of a drunk?"

Gannon attended White House Christmas parties -- but who invited him?

Former Talon News Washington bureau chief and White House correspondent Jeff Gannon (aka James D. Guckert) attended at least two invitation-only events in Washington, D.C.: the 2003 and 2004 White House press Christmas parties. Gannon has been discredited by numerous charges -- most notably that he is a Republican activist who has reproduced sections of Republican Party and White House materials verbatim in his own "news reports," and not a true news reporter. So the question arises: who invited Gannon to these exclusive events?

In a February 11 interview with Editor and Publisher, Gannon claimed that "The only connection I had with Scott McClellan was when he got married and I sent him a card." McClellan told Editor & Publisher that Gannon was not issued a permanent White House press corps pass, but obtained only daily passes. And according to a February 18 New York Times article, McClellan said that White House "credentialing is all handled at the staff assistant level."

But in past years, the White House press secretary has played a significant role in arranging the guest list for the Christmas parties. As the Washington Post reported on December 9, 1992: "Some national correspondents who cover the president have apparently been unceremoniously axed from the annual White House Christmas party list. ... Press Secretary Marlin Fitzwater, who's said to be wielding the ax for the half-dozen gigs, didn't return a call."

Former President Bill Clinton apparently delegated the responsibility to the White House social secretary, according to the Post on December 25, 1995: "The Clintons draw far and wide to make up their holiday invitation lists, said Ann Stock, White House social secretary. ... The season takes a toll on Stock and her staff. 'It's 16- to 18-hour days for a month,' she said on Friday, adding with evident relief: 'Now everyone can turn to their personal Christmas.'"

18. Mr. Bush! During the 2004 Presidential campaign ...
... Senator Kerry stated that you planned to privatize Social Security. You denied any such plan. Why did you lie and when will you apologize to the American people for lying?
