Infighting Is Exactly What Makes Us Strong And Good
and wise and TOTALLY UNLIKE the lockstep, goosestepping Talibornagain crowd.

As long as we coalesce, more or less, on election day, infighting is creative and good.

Without tremendous amounts of bloodshed, of course.

1. Perhaps it is possible to disagree without being disagreeable

And encourage conflict of ideas while discouraging conflict between people

4. Of course it is
Although people with a more conservative mindset might be alarmed at the amount of disagreement we have with each other on these boards, they can't say that they've seen it degenerate to all out flame wars. We don't expect people to march in lockstep here, and they usually don't let us down.

6. agreed. there are no litmus tests on the INTERNET though some will get mad
if you don't see things the way they do and furious when they can't control it instead of seeing it as an opportunity to pass the word.

it is certainly discouraging when folks resort to insults instead of reasoned argument. they don't seem to realize that the discussion and debate NEVER ends. just because they are convinced doesn't mean everyone else is and insults, pithy comments or appeals for unity are simply cop-outs, IMHO.

:hi:

peace
