Poll question: Do We Have Any Right To Decide Who Has Nuclear Weapons?
Ever since I was a kid I thought it was unbelievably arrogant of the United Stated as the world's largest producer and distributer of WMD to be telling other countries they can not have them. While I understand how this affects our national security, I think our extensive weapons programs and the fact that we are the only country to have ever nuked anyone, we really lack any moral high ground to stand on.

What do you think do WE have the right to decide who does and who does not have WMD?

1. There are certain nations I don't WANT to have nukes

North Korea is at the top of the list. Anyone who thinks its a good thing that regime is armed with nuclear weapons is out of their mind.

After that come Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

4. This is really a double edged sword...
we wouldnt want anyone telling us whether or not we should have nukes, but then again, I can think of a dozen countries that we sure as hell wouldnt want to have.

If all countries had nukes then the world would be over very shortly, but if nukes were "illegal" and no countries all it takes is one nut wanna be dictator to get the idea to make one and....

Certainly US policy/stances could be better, but.. it coule be a whole hell of a lot worse, all things considered.

Not exactly a simple yes or no question

7. No. *WE* opened Pandora's box.
Certainly, it would've been opened by someone sooner or later, but that's a debate for a different time. I just find it amazingly hypocritical that the US government thinks that it has the right to have any say in the manner of idiocy that other countries choose to kill large quantities of people.

Sure, there are many countries out there that would make me uncomfortable if they were to have access to nuclear weapons. Maybe we should try some actual diplomacy instead of simply bullying. That's not going to happen, sadly.
