The media doesn't even know a story when it sees one. We are so intensely focused on a runaway bride that the FUCKING WAR IN IRAQ barely gets mentioned. I as so ashamed that we have not held our media to a higher standard...we WILL pay the price.

Getting the media under its control has been the single most important achievement on the conservative movement in the last thirty years.

This war could not have taken place in the 1970's because enough people, properly informed by their... at that time... somewhat independent media( which actually informed them about the war in VN instead of occasionally simply passing on government information about the war) would not have tolerated it.
