"LIFT THE CAP"...it has to be our new rallying cry..If the Turd from Texas
is going to continue to flog his rape of SS; so too, should we help Americans to realize the "crisis" can be fixed ad infinitum by lifting
(or eliminating)the $90,000 cap.We need to get the info out there....
"LIFT THE CAP,FIX THE GAP"...say, I kinda like that!!!

1. Lifting the cap won't do diddly squat
until we get all the overpayments out of Congress's greedy hands by removing them from the general fund. Increasing the overpayments will only allow Congress to keep padding what the tax cuts for the rich and the corporate have done to the financial stability of this country.

We need to remove OASDI payments from the general fund FIRST. Then we can see whether or not we'll be able to fund the system with or without raising the cap.

In any case, those tax cuts to fat cats need to be rolled back. The Pentagon needs to go on a diet. And all those old boys in Congress need to GO.

3. You are correct...I'm thinking more along the lines of a way to dampen
the manufactured crisis being foisted upon the populace (some VERY gullible) by Shrub. Reducing it to a simple soundbyte would seemingly be the most effective.

2. called my conman yesterday
and told him don't mess with my SS-unless he got rid of the cap. The aide actually didn't snarl at me. She sounded scared. I think they had got a LOT of calls like mine that day (he's a repuke in a safe district who is running very SCARED on this issue).

I think raising the cap is a good idea, but first they must stop spending the surplus "as soon as it comes in." I am so glad that reality is beginning to filter in to the beltway crowd.

7. Oh, thanks for reminding me to write my Senators/Congressman
I'm in Texas and they're all republicans, but it won't hurt for me to put in my 2 cents.

5. Put S.S. in a lockbox like Al Gore suggested and Bush supported in 2000.
Lockbox not stock-loss.
