I see there is a thread claiming "Notice how they don't notice missing black kids" below. I'm devastated anyone would feel that way, or that racism could cut that deep. A child is the most prescious thing you will ever have the joy of holding close. A child is a piece of you moving into the future.
There was a thread here last evening, describing a little girl being molested in Disney World, Florida. I told my wife about it after I stopped crying. DU-ers, we can do this, let's find this little girl and bring her home. Canadian police are searching for her, she is repeatedly photo-ed in Disney World. Judging by her photo, she's a pre-teen by now.
I'm sorry for begging this, but this child is being so damaged. :(
We have to help her. Please.

1. You are a very kind, empathetic person... |

I hear your sadness coming through on the screen.
You are a very conscientious and caring person. After I read the story about that little girl who was molested/photographed at Disney World my heart broke too.
It is just so awful. I do understand your feelings.
The positive side to this story is that the police are determined to find this little girl in the picture. They made the correct decision to release photos of the "witness girl" who is in the photos. It sounds like they will release facial shots of the little girl (the main victim) if leads do not transpire soon. This is very good news. Someone WILL recognize those two little girls. They both attend schools, live in neighborhoods. Someone knows who they are.
It sounds like the police know that these girls live in the Northeastern part of the United States. It's good that they've narrowed down her location.
They're on their way to rescue her, and I believe they will locate her.
It's hard when you see this stuff, you feel compelled to want to help. I know. You're a good person for caring so much about this little girl that you don't know.
I share your concern, outrage and sadness. I haven't stopped thinking about this little girl, since I first heard of this story.
Let's hope we hear some good news soon. Hang in there---

2. That story breaks my heart too! |
|
I hope they find that girl soon. My heart just goes out to her. Actually, this could be a discussion in the GD forum; do you think they should release the victim's picture? Personally, I think they should because it can't do any more harm than is already happening to her.
