Checks and balances: my political philosophy in a nutshell
When most people think of checks and balances, they probably think of it applying to branches of government. I believe that checks and balances should be universal, applying to all Americans. I think there should be a limit to how much power or control one person or group has over another person or group. For example, there should be a limit to how much power an employer has over an employee, the government over the people, or the landlord over the tenant. I think that universal checks and balances are very necessary to give all people the greatest amount of personal freedom.

1. I think that is wise
too easy to allow the ego to take over when people are given power....and let's remember that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
