SC House delays debate to play ever-important BASKETBALL GAME!

Palmetto State pride has superseded debate on Gov. Mark Sanford's bill giving tax breaks for private school tuition -- at least for one day.

Sanford's plan was to be discussed in the state House of Representatives on Tuesday. However, about a dozen House members signed up to play basketball in Raleigh, N.C., against their Tar Heel State counterparts.

Lawmakers say they had planned the Carolina state game for two months, well before anyone knew when the tuition tax credit bill might reach the House floor.

The Tar Heel team reserved the city's arena for the game. There is a reception planned for afterward.

I'll have to say, though, my money is on the team from North Carolina.

1. Does that tax break bill still include the ridiculous part about

allowing parents who homeschool to claim the deduction? I know many dumbass parents who would say they were homeschooling and instead ignore their kids while calling that homeschooling for the tax break.
