"When is Hannity going to come see me" - Jilted Bridegroom

Mostly I have ignored this story since it turned out it was simply a Runaway Bride - but I was a little curious on how it was covered locally so I read the Atlanta Journal Constituition - and I ran across this snippet. This was after the groom learned she was alive but still believing it was a kidnap/rape. So what do you all think? Maybe I'm being a little harsh - but I'm so damn sick of these people airing their laundry in public and our tabloid media.

It was like Jennifer Wilbanks had come back from the dead.

John Mason stood in the front yard of his Duluth home Saturday morning almost giddy with excitement. Hours earlier, the fiancée who had vanished three days earlier called to tell him she had been kidnapped to New Mexico.

But she was alive and well.

At the Fox News tent, Mason turned into a groupie. "When's Hannity going to come down to see me?" he asked before gushing when a producer told him soon. "Oh man, that'd be awesome."

A couple of journalists were still waiting to talk to Mason when friends abruptly pulled him from the tent and rushed him into the house.

This bride and groom had taken all the attention of their little town and their 35+ bridal party, but that wasn't enough. They had to have the entire nation staring at them, too.

Can you imagine what people from other countries are thinking when they see wall-to-wall coverage of these idiots on CNN/MSNBC/FOX? This is just abnormal human behavior- it has to be. I refuse to believe that this is noral behavior, that people want to be in a crisis so they can get their 15 minutes on intrnation tv. Can you believe this guy wants his 15 minutes of internation tv because his fiancee basically took off insteading of marrying this boob? I also happen to think she is something of a twit, too.

The hannity comment just gave me a bit more insight into this idiot, but I basically thought this whole thig was just a joke of a news story from the beginning.

she was alive. Fox had the exclusive interview with her fiancee. No one else had access to him or the family. I knew then and there I probably didn't like these people. then he said that she had said a 'mexican man and a white woman' had taken her. my bs meter went crazy. and lo and behold... i was right!
