Who saw Tony Blair sweating like a pig on Cspan yesterday? |
|
Taking question from voters at a forum by the BBC. I watched Charles Kennedy, i thought he was wonderful and even Howard didn't sweat but Tony was looking like Albert Brooks in Newwork News.

1. On CSPAN Radio, He Sounded More Shaken Than I Have Ever Heard Him |
|
but his responses were still articulate and fairly persuasive, given that I don't agree with his Iraq policy at all.
He is the only person I have heard anywhere who can make the Iraq War sound like an even remotely reasonable thing to do. I have to give him credit for that.

2. He sounded totally reasonable and that he actually |
|
believed in what he was saying but his profuse sweating made him look like Nixon.

3. Interesting You Mention Nixon |
|
It's common wisdom that if you heard the 1960 presidential debates on radio, Nixon won. If you saw them on TV, Kennedy won. Having heard parts of those debates on CSPAN radio recently, I would have to agree. I thought Nixon did very well if you were only listening to his voice.
Maybe the same priniciple is at work here. Politicians are trained for oratory. But not all bodily functions can be controlled as easily.
