Sometimes you just feel like giving up
but you can't.

that's what they want us to do, just give up, surrender, stop fighting it, sort of like with rape.

but we can't. that's why we are all here, we are the one's who haven't given up, even though millions have.

we the people are under attack, from our own government. like they did in Iraq, they've invaded our nation, overthrown our government, appointed all new assholes, and held phony elections. they've robbed the treasury and terrorized us while they were at it too.

they've stomped all over us like godzilla over tokyo, and sometimes you just feel like giving up. but you can't.

1. That's why
we're The Underground because we're not giving up.

We're fighting millions of small guerilla wars in city council meetings, school board meetings, Democratic Party meetings and in coffee shops, mall, filing stations and grocery stores every day.

We'll win....eventually. Just keep the faith.

3. What's the plan? I'm fed up with all the accusations . . .
I mean Limbaugh is talking about the runaway bride, stating that if she "lied" to the FBI she could face up to 5 years and be a convicted Felon.

It's as if he never bought illegal prescription medicine from his ex-maid in a fast-food parking lot. It's not as if he is not going to have to go to court and face charges . . .or will he. It's been almost a year, and this sumbitch's life has not been bothered in any way, shape or form.

Again, justice is not blind, she has her hand out.

2. When I feel like giving up
I start looking at pictures from Iraq. I think about the families of the innocent civilians being killed by the thousands. I think of the men and women who signed up to protect our country and instead are losing their lives and their well-being for a BIG LIE and getting nothing in return.
I think about the people I serve at work (a Food Rescue/Food Bank) and realize what a crock of crap this nation can be when it comes to the most vulnerable among us. I remember that the reason that these kind elderly folks and disabled folks need food assistance is that our government protects the drug companies instead of the citizens so they can't afford medicine and food.

I think about my friends' children (I am too scared to bring my own into the world) and what their futures will be like. What water they will have to drink, and how poisoned the soil will be that their food is growing in.

Those are some of the reasons I won't give up. I can't give up. It isn't an option. I am healthy and lucky and I have time and energy to work for real freedom and democracy in the world. And I shall do my best.

5. Vounteers - Jefferson Airplane
Look what's happening out in the streets
Got a revolution Got to revolution
Hey I'm dancing down the streets
Got a revolution Got to revolution
Ain't it amazing all the people I meet
Got a revolution Got to revolution
One generation got old
One generation got soul
This generation got no destination to hold
Pick up the cry
Hey now it's time for you and me
Got a revolution Got to revolution
Come on now we're marching to the sea
Got a revolution Got to revolution
Who will take it from you
We will and who are we
We are volunteers of America

Always good for picking up the spirits in my mind.

Bryant

6. Give up??? NO WAY!!
the tide is just starting to turn. Dipshit is only 4 months into his second term and look at the mess he's in. There's no way this incompetent and the fools he's surrounded himself with can survive 4 more years. This house of cards, lies and crimes is going to crash under it's own wieght.

and I think one of his biggest mistakes so far was what he laid out at his press conference last week. Stripping most of americans of thier social security. this has a negative impact on most of the country. There's a hell of a lot of moderate repubs in $50K to $90K salary range who are going to be very unhappy. When people's future security and their MONEY are threatened they tend to wake up and take notice.

2006 is starting to look pretty good to me. If we're lucky they'll push this idiotic SS plan forward and fall on thier own sword. God help them in the '06 congressional elections.

9. Remember...
... a fella named John Paul Jones?

"We have just begun to fight!"

Yeah, we've been hammered. Hit hard. Hit below the belt. Hell, who thought it would ever get so bad? (Besides me?)

We've got to stick together, fend off the next several below the belt hits and start swinging. And we will. We have just begun to fight!
