Just in case the Public forgets about Terri |

http://us.cnn.com/2005/HEALTH/05/03/firefighter.speaks.ap/index.htmlORCHARD PARK, New York (AP) -- Ten years after a firefighter was left brain-damaged and mostly mute during a 1995 roof collapse, he did something that shocked his family and doctors: He perked up. "I want to talk to my wife," Donald Herbert said out of the blue Saturday. Staff members of the nursing home where he has lived for more than seven years raced to get Linda Herbert on the telephone.

4. The point wasn't what you are making it... |
|
The point was who has the right to decide a persons intentions and desires. Don't allow the republicans to change the subject.

7. MSNBC did that today...they had a woman on comparing the two. |
|
I forgot her name, the former Red Cross head. I was sick to see them do this, making it sound like Terri S. might have gotten better. Went on for a long time, two. I had to turn it off.

19. Liddy Dole? Mrs. Bob Dole? |

Let the spinning begin.
One difference, this guy has the ability to tell the RW (or the Left, for that matter) and the meddling corp-whore media to fuck off.
And I sincerely hope he does!

Just think:
It's 1995, Clinton is President, the economy is strong, we have good relations with our allies, etc, etc
Then you have get injured, only to awaken later and find:
It's 2005, bush is president, the economy is struggling (at best), we're bogged down in Iraq, etc, etc.
Poor guy. I suppose he could be a republican, and might welcome the news, but I still feel sorry for him. It would be kind of interesting to see how he reacts to the Lewinsky debacle, the 2000 & 2004 elections, 9/11, the war on terra, the color coded alert system, and every other horrible and ridiculous event that has happened since his accident.

18. I can't even imagine trying to describe it all |
|
"We spent our entire budget and our children's budget attacking Iraq because ... "
"The president wants to privatize social security because he claims we can't afford it unless less people pay into the system ..."
"Tax cuts for the rich ... "
"Church leaders are concerned that a cartoon of a sponge might be gay ..."
I don't even know where you'd start.
