Sexual assault by students raises issues (Shades of Ohio incident)
Sexual assault by students raises issues

(Tehachapi, California)

News Staff Report

Two male Jacobsen Middle School students, ages 14 and 15, were arrested last month after claims from three female students that the boys sexually assaulted them over a three-week period beginning in February on the school grounds.

The mothers of two of the girls have stepped forward with their daughters’ accounts of the incidents. The two girls are now home schooled but their mothers want answers regarding the handling of the girls’ complaints.

“We didn’t want to go to the newspaper with this. We waited a whole month to see if the school would take care of it, but they haven’t,” said the mother of one of the girls.

She said the girls filed a formal complaint against the boys with JMS Vice Principal Bobbie Wieder on three different occasions.

This is different of course from the Ohio incident, but nonetheless reminded me of it. Details seem a little lacking in the whole thing, if anyone else digs up more please pass along.
