(somebody I've never seen with vitiligo yet :eyes: and whose name escapes me and millions of others), talk of capturing bin Laden and **'s poll numbers are down. Coincidence? I think NOT.

|
Don't they usually think bigger than that?

I hadn't heard any accusations. Last I heard, they suspected a Dutch man who works for the U.N. (Didn't make sense, but they didn't sound overly serious about it at the time.)

11. Doesn't sound like Al Queda to me. |
|
The one thing we know about Al Queda is that when they perform a terrorist act, they time it so that they kill lots and lots of people.
Dropping a home made grenade in a flower pot at 4:00 in the morning when at the most they might take out a couple of homeless guys or the night janitor is just not their style.

...was that this person was caught by our good friends the Pakistanis. This "Number 3" guy was someone they really, really wanted to catch because he had tried to assassinate their president. In other words, we're giving them credit for being our oh so close friends in the war on terror, when all they really did was catch a bad guy who was after their own president.
Not that I begrudge them capturing someone who wanted to do in their president. I just find it somewhat amusing that it's presented as though they were doing our bidding in the "war on terror". And as though they won't have any more of those embarrassing "lapses" (?) like, say, when their top scientist guy was selling nukes all over the middle east.
Sorry, my cynicism runneth over tonight.
Not to mention that fake bomb thing in NYC -- how much you wanna bet they'll finger some hapless person they can hang a "leftist" label on, claim he did it because Blair supported our wonderful president in his wonderful quest to tame the wild heathens of Iraq, and milk it all as a chance to smear liberals and commie-pinko-leftists.
Tonight it's all too much for me. Sorry.
