Fellow Americans, please remember that "Parents Day"

a.k.a. "True Parents Day" is July 27th this year. You don't remember the significance of "Parents Day?

Well in 1994, Mississippi's Senator Trent Lott sponsored and aggressively lobbied his colleagues to vote for the "True Parents Day" bill to honor Sun Myung Moon of the Unification Church. Apparently Lott believes Moon's claim that he, Moon, was sent by God as the true messiah because Jesus failed in his mission. According to Moon, he and his wife are the "True Parents" and the only couple allowed by God to bear children without sin.

Congress approved Lott's bill but changed the name to "Parents Day" to insure separation of church and state. Moon and his church recognized Lott for his outstanding accomplishment.

Now that you know the real story, I'm sure you will celebrate this historic event with suitable festivities. Ya'll have a happy "True Parents Day".

I find it so hard to believe that Lott believes Moon was sent by God. :crazy: Do his constituents know about this? You'd think the Mississippian Baptist good ole boys wouldn't go for no "slanty-eyed" savior.

3. You caught that didn't you! Bill signed it . Moon told his followers

“They know that Reverend and Mrs. Moon have been victoriously welcomed in all fifty states and on Capitol Hill. They know that Parents Day has been proclaimed even as a law.”

Moon also said, “When True Parents Day is adopted by 185 United Nations member nations, then the world will be truly united.”

7. I wouldn't be surprised, remember Moon owns the Washington Times

and UPI.

Moon also hired George H. W. Bush to do PR work in Urugay.

Moon's son was and still may be a heavy drug user. Did he and AWOL snort coke together?
