Was this week's 'Real Time' worth watching? |
|
I missed it yesterday because I needed to wake up early for work. Should I watch it when it re-airs tonight, or a waste of time?

Madame Secretary was the best part, and she's at the beginning.
Sullivan was interesting.
Nothing earth shattering.

5. It was worth the time for the bit at the end |

The bit about the "runaway bride" was classic. "Come out to Hollywood, your a reality show waiting to happen...you can stay in my hot tub"!
And...
"I've got some stuff that you can smoke that will relieve that pressure on your eyes"
AND...
"Don't worry about that Goober back home, once I get done with you, he ain't going to want you back"
I thought it was one of the better shows of his I've seen this year.
He's in Kansas City later this month, I think I'm going to check him out.
Oh, and if you didn't see Maher being interviewed by Jiminy Glick (Martin Short) who was hosting Larry King last week, you missed another classic.

6. "Am I the only one here who needs a Glick fix?" |
|
I did miss that interview, darn it!
I'm sure it will turn up somewhere.

2. Sullivan was very tough on the conservatives, I thought. |
|
I think his entire tone was different than when I saw him last year. But then I haven't seen him enough to really know.
I didn't think his show was as funny as it has been. Sullivan did most of the talking of any of the guests. I saw Madeline Albright just as she went off.

7. Madeline Albright was great... |
|
You should try to catch her interview on the replay... it was the best part of the show. Well, that and "New Rules".

4. Yeah, it was good, but Madeleine Albright was exceptional. |
|
She is so eloquent and smart, I could listen to her all night. And she was in one of those moods. What a cool lady. The rest of the show was fairly laid back, but enjoyable.

8. Agree, Albright exceptional. |
|
I gained some respect for Andrew Sullivan last night.
Bill Maher regularly gets caught up in his own personal issues (ridiculing the religious) and boggs down his own show.
Last night definately worth watching.

9. It was worth it watching Andrew Sullivan ripping apart Bushco. |
|
The Christian Right scares the shit out of him.
