When does the war in Iraq end?

Did everybody notice that the same people who promoted a 'freedom' fighter movement in Afghanistan to fight the USSR during the 70's also promoted the Bush Administration, an Administration which failed to prevent 9/11, which failed to capture the people tied to 9/11, went after the wrong people, and gave birth to a new 'islamic' Terrorist threat, just like in the 70's?

When does the war on terror end? And, will America survive the War on Terror, or will our stretched economy and resources make us crash and burn, just like the USSR?

1. When someone forces the US to withdraw.

and the war on terror is a fictional perpetual war, so it will never end.

That will be when enough bodybags come home and the cost gets high enough to hit the average citizen in the brain.
