Bizarre Sex Habits of The Extreme Right-Wing
Edited on Tue May-10-05 11:34 PM by George Oilwellian
Malloy played the actual recording last night. Sorry if this is a dupe.

(snip}
Last night, anti-abortion extremist Neal Horsley was a guest on The Alan Colmes Show, a FOX News radio program. The topic was an interesting one - whether or not an internet service provider should allow Horsley to post the names of abortion doctors on his website. Horsley does that as a way of targeting them and one doctor has been killed. In the course of the interview, however, Colmes asked Horsley about his background, including a statement that he had admitted to engaging in homosexual and bestiality sex.

At first, Horsley laughed and said, "Just because it's printed in the media, people jump to believe it."

"Is it true?" Colmes asked.

"Hey, Alan, if you want to accuse me of having sex when I was a fool, I did everything that crossed my mind that looked like I..."

AC: "You had sex with animals?"

NH: "Absolutely. I was a fool. When you grow up on a farm in Georgia, your first girlfriend is a mule."

AC: "I'm not so sure that that is so."

NH: "You didn't grow up on a farm in Georgia, did you?"

AC: "Are you suggesting that everybody who grows up on a farm in Georgia has a mule as a girlfriend?"

NH: It has historically been the case. You people are so far removed from the reality... Welcome to domestic life on the farm..."

It gets even better here.

6. notice how that CREEP twists even something as putrid as this,
trying to make Colmes the idiot for having the nerve to question him.

That guy's head needs to be squished like a bug. Not that I support the squishing of innocent bugs.

14. hah! Which pic?
The pic (imaginary) of squishing that guy's head like a bug? Or the pic of the baby hippo and tortoise?

LOL :D

The baby hippo and tortoise I found here at DU. There was a story about the baby hippo was abandoned and rescued, then met the tortoise who appointed herself mama. So sweet!

:hi:

18. Actually, the baby hippo was not abandoned, but orphaned by the Tsunami...
his mom was washed out to sea, and so was the baby, but the baby washed back in, and was adopted by the turtle. Somehow, this proves there is hope for the world.

7. Fits with my theory on conservatives and liberals and morality
See, there are basically two types of liberals: there are those who believe that most people are inherently good if allowed to be, and there are those who believe that morality is based on the golden rule-- do only things that won't hurt others. Both are basically good people.

Conservatives, on the other hand, are the dregs of humanity. They are the ones with demons eating their souls. They are greedy, selfish, sexually aggressive, and most of all, just plain old self-centered. They will rape, kill, steal, lie, cheat and whatever else they need to do to get their way. They are the ones who pass on the shoulder to cut off decent people obeying the law. They are the ones who cheat on their taxes, chew out people who have to listen to them, cheat on their spouses, etc. They are basically evil at heart. Some of them try to be good, and fail, while others only through a supreme effort of will and following rules they don't understand (Bible) manage to behave decently.

The problem is, while liberals understand that not everyone is like them, and are thus aware of the needs for laws, conservatives are so self-absorbed they truly believe all humans are as evil as they are. They don't trust Jimmy Carter or Mother Theresa, assuming they are up to some evil even when doing good. It's because these conservatives themselves are up to evil even when doing good. It's why Jerry Falwell is an aggressive homophobe when everyone can see he's the most repressed latent homosexual in the country. It's why Tom Delay hates anything sexual when he himself was one of the worst sexual aggresors in DC. It's why conservatives don't truly believe in freedom of religion--because they believe that evil people such as themselves have to be forced to be good.

Horsley is a perfect example of this: Notice how he can't conceive that some people grew up without screwing everything that vibrated. he can't see beyond his own life enough to understand that others are different from him. And that is exactly the definition of a conservative.

15. excellent analysis!
There's another kind in addition to your characterization that I'm thinking of...know a few examples at work. The born agains who really think they are doing the right thing. I don't see the cynical personality covering bad with "goodosityness" so much in the people I'm thinking of. I think they may be sincere but duped and deluded, and unwilling to challenge opinions pushed on them by their church (afraid to look at facts not given to them by their pastor).

Once you have a zealous belief, its your entire bulwark, your safety, your way of understanding the scary world. You do everything you can to avoid challenging it.

But frankly I realllllly don't understand them. Thinking oneself so pure while believing that all women who have unwanted pregnancies are sluts (they believe this unconsciously, I think) who should be forced to have the baby. That raped women should carry it to term because aborting it would traumatize them, a group of cells is a baby and has more importance than her actual life. (Exscuse me? The cruelty of this position just makes me go ballistic) That gay/lesbian couples are sinners regardless of long term relationship status, and therefore, the legal protections of marriage should be permanently denied them. That it doesn't matter that there are millions upon millions of people in poverty, many due to lack of insurance brought about by the outsourcing of thier job (for example)...its ok because "I" (meaning fundy-in-question) have a good job and I'm grateful to gawwwd. And I practice abstinence, and teach Bible study.

I could go on. But I won't. It just boggles my mind. The ignorance (and the dough faced smugness, the certainty of their own purity) makes my head explode.

In one week--

...Horsley admits to having sex with a mule
...Bush admits to masturbating a horse

What's next--Will Tom DeLay admit that he had an intimate encounter with the entire cast of "Homeward Bound"?

10. It gets worse before it's going to get better about their
perverted "private" lives.

Don't be surprised if child prostitution pops up on the radar. We already had Gannon man whore journalist white house correspondent. Down the rabbit hole we go.
