"The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog."

Uses every letter of the alphabet, I'm told. I've always been too lazy to check ................

9. mother would whisper that it "should be" party, but that it was nicer to
say "country." always seemed like a sweet 40s thing to do. i imagined the andrew sisters in a wartime movie learning to type in a pool -- you know, going out and helping the war effort in the hopes of finding a hunky soldier.

10. The "...come to the aid of..." line always reminds me of an old TV ad
from either the late 50s or very early 60s. It was animated (B&W of course) and featured the following song:

"To inaugurate your candidate,
come to the aid of your party.
Don't pass the buck, but give a buck
to the party of your choice."
