|
anyone else learn this sentence as they learned to type? my mother taught it to me and eveytime i try out a new keyboard i type it without thinking. kind of a nice habit to pop up out of nowhere.

say "country." always seemed like a sweet 40s thing to do. i imagined the andrew sisters in a wartime movie learning to type in a pool -- you know, going out and helping the war effort in the hopes of finding a hunky soldier.

10. The "...come to the aid of..." line always reminds me of an old TV ad |

from either the late 50s or very early 60s. It was animated (B&W of course) and featured the following song:
"To inaugurate your candidate, come to the aid of your party. Don't pass the buck, but give a buck to the party of your choice."
