Ok, in retrospect with * not being told, it's obvious something seems very wrong.

But now that they've pulled this stunt, they'll likely try it again.

Would you leave the 2nd time? Under what conditions would make it necessary?

1. If they asked me to evacuate, yes
because if there really was something wrong, I would want the security/emergency workers, etc. be able to do their job.

7. I think I agree
But once out of the building, I have to admit that I wouldn't have the vaguest idea of what I should do next. The Daily Show captured it pretty well when Jon Stewart hollered that every should "Run for your lives, puny mortals! Ahahahahahahaha! It will do you no good! Ahahahahaha!"

I'd want to be out of the way so that the emergency professionals could do whatever they thought should be done, but where would I go? What would I do? I suppose I'd seriously consider just going home for the day, but the "crisis" was over so quickly, I'd probably head back to the office for the afternoon.

I could not for the life of me guess why all those people were running, what they might be running from, or where they might be running to.

8. We had a huge earthquake here a few years ago
and almost everyone returned to work. I actually took the bus home, checked on my dogs, then turned around and came back. Later, I started wondering why I'd returned. It was a stressful event and I think I would have been better off at home.

2. Like the people in the second WTC tower, they'll get told to stay
and will get blown up.

(Well, the progressives will get told to stay at any rate.)

5. answer to your first question
If I were a representative...? Yes I would have. One never really knows what kind of evil people will try. Now I know a lot of people here in DU think that this was a big conspiracy or something along those lines, but if it was(I'm not saying it was), how would a person who is carrying on business know?
Would I leave a second time? I'm not sure. Whether or not it was a conspiracy, it still smacks of crying wolf. And what's sad about that, is that enough false alarms make it easier for the terrorists.

6. Well I was in a hotel once and there was a fire alarm
It was 05:00 and it was a terrible noise. And it took me two minutes to open the door and a woman in a room across the hall opened the door and I asked "Is this real?" and she said: "I don't know".

Then I get dressed and looked for my shoes and didn't forget my wallet and keys and finally I took the fire escape. It was already 10 minutes into the fire alarm but that was about the time when most started to evacuate.

And we were standing outside and it took at least another 15 minutes before everybody left the hotel (so I was actually 'normal' with my 10 minutes).

It turned out to be false and we got a compliment under our door for "Job Well Done", but it was pathetic... If it was an emergency then most wouldn't have gotten out LOL
