New Progressive Website/Liberal Radio News Broadcast
Press release about new website from friends at Randi Rhodes Message board...

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - RADIO NEWS AMERICA DEBUTS PROGRESSIVE MEDIA SITE 5/13/05

Radio News America
Who are we? Why are we doing this?

Question One - What is a more productive form of activism than taking an active role in getting information to the public?

Question Two - What good comes of spending a day protesting if the protest goes unreported by the U.S. corporate media?

The solution: Radio News America

Radio News America is the purest and most effective form of activism. Our mission is to provide grassroots media, unbiased and unfiltered, to report the news that is left out by the corporate entities that own the Main Stream Media, a.k.a. the Media Spin Machine. America's airwaves are no longer public domain as they are in the sole possession of the highest bidders.

After a series of months where the cable news networks demonstrated that they are only capable or airing a single news story in 24- hours of broadcasting, a few of us got fed-up enough to get off of our behinds and do something about effecting change. We have come to terms with our fears and desires and instead of continuing to talk about doing something we decided to move beyond just talking. It was time to act and “think big” and the product became Radio News America.

Radio News America was not founded by millionaire investors or a massive corporation but was founded by an actual "coalition of the willing". This coalition consists of private individuals who are willing to undertake personal investments of time and finances in order to broadcast real news for a change due to an over-abundant and unanimous disgust of the bias and practices of the Main Stream Media, a.k.a. the Media Spin Machine.

The Founders of Radio News America live all across these “Divided” States of America. We are of different areas of expertise that happen to be Air America Radio listeners who became friends via the Randi Rhodes message board. Together we have been plotting an information revolution in an act of ultimate patriotism to provide an alternative medium focused always on information as a priority over entertainment and giving a voice to those who have previously been voiceless.

America’s legislators decided that the PAYGO policy wasn’t right for America and told us that massive deficits were the best policy for our government. However, as the average American isn’t afforded the option of running up massive deficits to fund their daily lives, the same is the case for Radio News America. We will fund our growth under the PAYGO policy thru donations and the sales of advertisements.

Personal sacrifices and passion have brought Radio News America to the point of delivering streaming radio broadcasts and the latest news that matters on our website at http://www.radionewsamerica.com . In the future we hope to expand from the grassroots level as the real voice of the people into other mediums beyond just the "internets".

The Radio News America website and it's forums are now open to the community. Our first new broadcast will be in June.

If the Main Stream Media, a.k.a. the Media Spin Machine, refuses to give a voice to the voiceless, then Radio News America will gladly answer the midnight call to revolution against oppression as the Original Revolutionaries did so many years ago. Technology affords us the opportunity to join the information revolution by giving you Radio News America.

Question One - What is a more productive form of activism than taking an active role in getting information to the public?

Answer One - By donating your spare time and/or funds in becoming a literal or financial contributor to Radio News America.

Question Two - What good comes of spending a day protesting if the protest goes unreported by the U.S. corporate media?

Answer Two - Log on and stream Radio News America at www.radionewsamerica.com and get your voice heard by contributing to our Editorial Department and join the discussions taking place on our message boards.

Hope to see you there!

The Radio News America Team
