I don't think they'll ever get rid of abortion and here's why
Main reason is what else will they have to talk about? All these "pro-life" (or profetus as I call them) republicans talk about is abortion and things like that. If they get rid of abortion what else would they talk about? They're no longer the party of Lincoln when they had something to talk about. The neocons in republican clothing know if they ever get rid of abortion they will lose a lot of voters. 60% of the American people are pro-choice. There are still some pretty good republicans out there who respect the right to choose I'm sure. You just don't hear about them over these loud mouths who have taken over the party. But I just don't think they'll do it. If they have they would've by now I think. Or at least been talking about it. Sure they had that anti-abortion rally but that was just stupid and to pay them back for voting him back in (according to the reality they've created). That's just my opinion. :) Why else don't you hear these "pro-life" preachers talk more about getting rid of abortion? They won't have any base if they get rid of it. Plus 60% of America will be pissed.

1. If they ever get abortion banned they'll work on banning divorce
Making church attendence compulsory, etc.

2. Yep
And a lot of the people who support them in politics have divorce and don't go to church that much. So that would make them not support them anymore.

As much as it's friday night and i'm a bit pissed.... i can't agree.
They're going after womens rights on every front, and the right to an
abortion is DEFINITELY in the sights. Bush is willing to take the fall,
as long as they get their judges in. Then it'll be time for women to
leave for canada.
