Has Bush addressed the nation about 5/11? I don't watch the news much |
|
and have not seen anything about it here at DU.
SURELY, SURELY, SURELY he did.
PLEASE tell me he did!

'Protocols' Left Bush Out of the Loop http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/05/13/AR2005051301359.html By Jim VandeHei Saturday, May 14, 2005; Page A07---snip--- The president also tried to deflect concern about being out of the loop, telling an audience yesterday, with a grin, "I strongly urge you to exercise on a regular basis." =========== seems to me he doesn't give a crap what happened, what could have happened and absolutely no clue as to what is going on

6. An audiance? That won't get it. You know what the sad part is? That |
|
there is no outrage that he had not addressed the nation about such a serious situation.
Rush is talking about Hillary walked TOO SLOW out of the Capitol Building.
Sad, sickening and disgusting.

9. Yesterday, a pukey coworker |
|
said that HRC refused to run out of the building and I responded that she evidently was one of the few that showed any common sense about the matter. And then I went on to say that it was disgraceful that 4 years after 911 that the advice to "take off your shoes and run as fast as you can" was the best homeland security available. I also pointed out that the plane was no real threat because it didn't get any closer than 3 miles from the WH or Congress and if it had been a real threat, why did they not bother to inform the city admininstration. She shut up.

8. The owner and home base of the Cessna could have been |
|
determined in less than a minute from the registration numbers clearly painted in large letters on the plane. A call to the base airport in Pa. would have identified the pilot and their intentions.

11. This one backfired. Big time. |

MoPaul captures the mood of the country perfectly. There's a lot of suppressed resentment, anxiety and out-and-out hatred among the public for what Shrub has been doing. I'm not just talking about the (majority?) of people who voted against him. It's these relatively little incidents that become icon-breakers and historical turning-points.

exactly what rove wanted, changed the subject. No memo, no anything. Blame the media. bush wasn't told because they all knew it was nothing at the time. They really have help with the media keeping people stupid.

14. if they knew it wasn't anything |
|
then why
RED ALERT?
Why were some people told to stay put and others sent to run in the streets? Why scramble jets?
scare the sheeple and boost the poll numbers?
my "moran" neighbor said bush* was just setting an example by continuing his "normal routine" of riding a bike. see nothing to fear....
he had no answer when I asked "ok if it was no big deal then why
RED ALERT?
