Seen Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith?
Just got back from seeing the movie...I can see where the fascist Repukes are a little steamed at the movie. Essentially, Lucas evicerates the notion of "might makes right" and shows the neocon philosophy of empire as antithetical to democratic ideals and a tool of evil.

GREAT STUFF! But, the movie dialog did suck...

1. Heard there is a comment made by Darth baby that sounds like it came
right from bushitler's mouth. True?

3. Yep. At a pivotal moment in the film, Darth utters a rephrasing of...
and this is paraphrasing, "either you are with me, or you are my enemy." He says this to Obi Wan in the midst of a long and drawn out lightsaber fight.

I snickered in the movie theatre when this happened and couldn't help but hope that some in the NC (Durham) theatre saw the parallels with their beloved shithead leader.

10. It's in the last 3rd of the film...you can't miss it. It's VERY obvious.
When Obi Wan and the newly Darth start to lightsaber fight on a volcanic planet, you know the scene is close.

There are a couple of other anti-neocon points to be made throughout the film...most occur in the context of Galactic Senate deliberations and the Sith Lord taking over the Senate and forming the Empire.

2. I noticed the dialogue problems with the last movie too.
I haven't been as invested in these last three as the first three. I guess I miss the old characters played by Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Alex Guinness and what's his name?

12. He's there, but modeled in CGI as a relative youngster and NO dialog.
Next to last scene in the film has a CGI of Grand Moff Tarkin, but you have to catch it quick his CGI gets very little screen time.

19. scorpius!
According to IMDB (I haven't seen the movie yet), Tarkin is played by Wayne Pygram, a name that should be recognized by the Farscape fans out there:

Scorpius (and Harvey, too, of course)

21. Really? I could have sworn it was a young Cushing modeled in CGI.
You know things are getting strange when you mistake reality for CGI.

8. Empire Strikes Back is THE superior movie of the series because of Mamet
The second movie in the series (Star Wars V) has superior dialog and pacing because the screenplay was farmed out to David Mamet (at least I think this is the case).

Lucas can do the broad brushes, imagination, and special effects, but his Achilles heel is dialog and pacing.

4. Star Wars is not about great dialogue...it is all about
the SFX. I thought the movie was very good and cannot wait to see it again....maybe tomorrow night. Had I not been so tired after seeing it at 630AM this morning I might have gone to see it again today but I needed a serious nap.

5. You know it may be advantageous
if the dialog was weak, simple, down to ohhhh 3rd grade level. You know where most Repugs are at now-a-days. Easier for them to understand. What you think I'm kidding here?

9. Good point... (LOL)
Though, I would point out that 3rd grade level might be too high for most on that side of the coin.

13. That's the level porn is written. Except for the explicit content,
a lot of porn would read like a Dick and Jane Primer.

R2D2 is revealed as his "little buddy" and the two manufacture a robotic love child and temporarily retire to a planet allowing gay robot marriage. ;)

20. General Grievous is Osama Bin Laden
Something said along the lines of "We'll hunt him where he's hiding, no matter how long it takes" or something like that reminiscent of the great Osama hunt.
