I agree with Scott McClellen...
When we have a prez* that has had to shoulder no responsibility at all during his adult life, are we really all that surprised that he is so out of touch with with the average person?

During his abbreviated stint in the air force national guard, because he had better things to do, his dad bailed him out.

During his many business failures, once again, time after time he was bailed out by his father.

Countless times during his life, when faced with a difficult situation, life changing event or otherwise life tragedy, what did he do? Ran to daddy or did nothing.

During the events of 9/11, a president of the United States, the most powerful country in the history of the world, with countless reserves of raw resources at it's disposal, the most expensive army ever fielded, the ability to (at that time) to call upon just about any nation in the world for help, he sat and read my pet goat to a class room of children while precious minutes ticked by while this nation was under attack.

In the past, when faced with difficult choices, he ran to daddy to give him the answer. This time he couldn't run to anyone. However, he did have a daddy, but this daddy took the form of dick chaney. He made the tough choices that the leader of the free world could not. I'm not supporting dick chaney, I want to make that clear. Just at a time when the nation needed a president the most, it was the vice president, the person who generally is regulated to ribbon cutting ceremonies to take charge.

This dove tails into why our fearless leader lies and does it so often. It's not that he's incapable of telling the truth, or is he? Like a little kid that has done something wrong, he will do everything with in his and the gov'ts power to prevent himself from taking responsibility. Because doing so, would go directly against this fortunate sons upbringing of being shielded from everything. Admitting he was wrong or made a mistake would, in his mind and the eyes of his controlling father, make him seem...human.

His drug and alcohol use, to me, seems as if it's an escape. An escape from a life of having no responsibility, a life of having to answer to no one, a life of bullying people to get what he wants, and when he doesn't get it, he hides behind his daddy/chaney to get what he wants. This is a shallow life, and whether or not he consciously realizes this, it is apparent in his abusive past in an effort to escape it. Escape it he did, in the form of being "born again". Like most people who don't go through rehab, chose "God" to save them. Well, given that God has this history of forgiving people, it goes without saying that perhaps, our prez* thought the same this time. But regardless of how many prayer meetings you have in the oval office with your SOS, it still doesn't help with the actual addiction. So his new kick is God.

Fast forward to 2 weeks ago.

The WH and all the surrounding buildings are evacuated. His wife and a former first lady are sent to a safe location. All because of an errant 2 seater prop airplane. (I still maintain this was a false alarm and it was flown by the CIA). And where was the prez* during all of this? During this whole pseudo terror attack, during which 35,000 people were evacuated? He was mountain biking. Mountain biking. Think about that. Not only is he mountain biking, but he's doing it in the middle of the week, in the middle of the day, when most of the nation, including the 35,000 others were working, yes, WORKING.

According to laura, our prez* goes to bed at 9pm. I would think he gets up at 7am. What the fuck does his day consist of, if he can go mountain biking middle of the day during a terrorist alert?

What makes this whole bizarre situation read strange is the fact that even though all these people were evacuated, and he was mountain biking, the leader of the United States, the man that claimed the title of having a war on Terror, the man who has his finger on the button, wasn't notified of the "attack" until 35 minutes after it happened.

Scott, blithering idiot, mcclellen, stated this was all part of the emergency protocol. I believe him. Because given this prez's* history during difficult times, during and emergency, during a situation where you need quick thinking, the last person, the very last person you want to notify regarding something like this is our president* of the United States of America.
