"He was on BBC Scotland this evening talking about.....this website (reason I came on).

It was put to him that only the Arab world took any notice of what he said, and that everyone in Britain had largely ignored him (not true, the interviewer was trying to rile him). In reply George said that he was deeply moved by all the e-mails he had received especially from the states. He then mentioned that the greatest support had come from the members of Democratic Underground, a group of politically active Democrats noted for their political acumen.


Incidentally, I watched the committee hearing the other day and thought that it was one of the most entertaining things I have seen on TV for quite some time."

We'd like to believe that there is a correct and Constitutional path through this madness, but the King of Hearts has bought his own lunacy and the rest of his pack of War Criminals are routing our country like scoundrels of olde.

There are knights in somewhat tarnished armor (Ted Kennedy comes to mind) standing up and telling the truth, but the media twists it all out of proportion and spends their time examining minute aspects of sensational items that simply aren't the cause of the slow and painful death of Democracy in America.

We have our own bull terrier, John Conyers from Michigan, but as right on target as he is and as perfectly as he represents US there is just no getting past the media blockade with the truth. And there are so many others fighting and doing the right things as fast and as capably as they can under the current restrictions.

But to have someone from our former monarchy, now long time friend and ally, stand and deliver such a striking dissertation on the corruptness of our administration was forceful and hopefully the momentum will continue to build until the truth is not only spoken by those in the streets and on the Senate floor, but HEARD and RESPECTED by those who have lied and lied and lied until they do not know the truth well enough to recognize it when it bites their holier than thou backside.

One of the things that worries me a bit, or excites me if I think about it from a more positive angle, is internationalizing our struggle (struggle = whatever you are most interested in, but basically the whole magilla).

Let me back up a bit. One of THE most impactful things to me in the last 5 years was the world-wide protests for peace on Feb. 12 (??), 2003. They happened in places I'd never even heard of. I was -- and am -- so moved by that. IT WAS UNPRECEDENTED. Never in the history of mankind had anything like that happened: millions of people around the world protesting FOR Peace. It was unprecedent, magickal, and it also portended great things to come (to me, anyway). There was so much love and beauty, joy and hope on that day.

What we have to do is find ways to tap into and harness that positive energy and if possible, that commitment. We have to internationalize humankind's opposition to encroaching fascism. That was our first step.

I see this as something of another step in the right direction. Here's a guy well-known in England/Scotland (but of course not here, in our ever-provincial U.S.), who stepped up to the plate and refused to be bullied and tarnished by the U.S. AND insisted upon a little truth-telling (magickal stuff, that is, all by itself). And we complete the circle by telling him what a good and important job he did, letting him know about a truth-telling (and appreciating) contingent in the U.S., and validating and reinforcing his courageous stand. We're telling him we can work together. He's got some friends here in the U.S., and WE know we've got friends elsewhere in the world (well, we knew that, but THIS one came here and did something proactive).

Does anyone else see (hah! or even understand) what I'm seeing??
