Bunnypants on CSPAN -- We gotta sayin' here in Texas |

Lyin' like a dog, sweatin like a pig. A one man barnyard.
He looked like he was fighting a possession. Like two personalities fighting to control his facial expressions.

it was bizarre. There had to be some chemicals involved, or some kind of really serious mental thing. It was weird. I couldn't watch because of the weird. Usually I can't watch because of the stupid.

You know, I used to call myself a Texan. And I used to like these cute provincial sayings. But ever since GWB became pResident, I just don't care for them anymore. Could it be because I don't regard him a a real Texan? Or could it be because he is such a fool?

Kind of like the opposite of turning lead into gold. Bush puts on the hokey "Dubya" character, spewing out his "Texas sayings" --including a good many that are used in much of the English-speaking world, but he prefaces them with "like we say in Texas" anyway). Hee-yuk.
It's like watching a really bad actor. How can people stand it? He's doing his impression, a caricature really, of what a Texan is like. And all the while he's snortling to himself and viewing everything (even his supporters) with condescension.

He's a preppy cheerleader from Connecticut, with a bought and paid for Yale stamp of approval. He's a Nutmegger, and a Cuckcoobanannas, but not a son of the Lone Star state.

9. I had on CSPAN to catch the Galloway testimony... |

and this came on afterward. I think it was a press conference, reporters were asking questions, but Shrub was seated and the atmosphere was what he may think of as "homey". You know, marble, heavy armchairs to squirm in, that sort of stuff. No podium and microphone.
