When Anekin joins the dark side and kills children, he justifies it to Padme

"I am becoming more powerful than any Jedi has ever dreamed of, and I'm doing it for you. To protect you."

Anekin ends up killing her because he goes over to the dark side to protect her.

This sort of mimics how Bush is killing America in his effort to protect it; at the behest or deception of an evil fatherly statesman who has "been in power far too long", Palpatine/George HW, the mastermind of all the secret plans with which he manipulates people.

And also, since when do Jedi's use the word democracy? Isn't that an earthly term? Obiwan uses it with Anakin. "I'm defending the republic, and democracy." If that isn't blatant *-Bashing, I don't know what is. Anyone ever heard of democracy in the republic before?
