Skinner should set up a franchise, I mean Canada's just got LiberalUnderground, but there's still space for LabourUnderground...and ultimately GlobalUnderground (although DU is by default a sort of global clearing house for left of centre ideas).

19. Mmm...interesting idea... |

also the name DemocraticUnderground actually works anywhere (because just about everyone wants to be "democratic").
Also think that DU would have more credibility than other lefty papers such as "Socialist Worker" (which scares a lot of people off).

18. Problematic here in the UK. Our Left scene is very fragmented. |
|
There's Labour, of course, but also the Lib Dems, Respects, the Greens, a spectrum of single-issue groups, and armies of unaligned leftists including myself. A name would be hard to think of.

Are even NuLabor keeping up the pretence that they're a left-wing party? They're not so far politically off the Republicans.
I'm Lib Dem leaning, by the way.
For non-UK people: RESPECT is George Galloway's party - Galloway is its sole representation in the Commons.

Are you serious?
The PLP is certainly to the Left. The Blairite clique at the top may be rightist in good part, but has still sponsored LW initiatives a RW governemnt wouldn't have come close to.

Is our country that much of a trainwreck that you have to find out what's really going on?
Is it to reassure yourselves that not all Americans are completely mad?
