Are Brister and Hecht party hacks, too?? I noticed that love 'em or hate 'em thing in their results, too, compared to O'Neill and Jefferson who seem to be well-respected...

2. That fits right in with...
all of bush's other choices from cabinet members to ambassadors. The worse they are, the more bush likes them. I guess he wants only people that are on the same skill level as himself. If anyone was really qualified or intelligent, they'd make him look more stupid than he is.
