Guess Who Said It

Somewhere in the swamps of East Hartford, Connecticut

"I suppose this is where I do my public service announcement. We have all kinds of fans at these shows, Republican and Democrat. And a lot has been made about weather or not we were falsely led into this war in Iraq. However, everyone cares about the troops, and I ask you to hope and pray for them to come back safe. But the question about weather or not we were falsely led into war isn't a liberal or conservative one. It's not a Republican or Democrat one. It's an American question, and we need the truth to come out, because the truth comes out over all. By the way, I'd like you all to head on out and buy a copy of my buddy Al Franken's book "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them." (smile) This is the Land of Hope and Dreams."

Bruce Springsteen.
Rentschler Field.

Yeah, I know, he does it all the time...but to hear it live...that was up there with Carlos Santana's * bashing during his Meadows concert in August 2000.

When everything was so innocent...and it seemed like votes would be counted...

1. I have loved Bruce Springsteen since his first album,
"Greetings from Asbury Park", he has always been for the blue collar, working class people.

Go Bruce!!

2. just a spelling/usage note.
Weather is the stuff outside like sunshine, rain, snow, clouds, and so on.

Whether is a conjunction, linking ideas.

I can't help it. I'm an old maid English teacher at heart.

4. The boss is great;
My girlfriend just asked me today if Springsteen was a liberal... I said absolutely, he's for the working man.
